Conservationist Karki awarded

myagdi_districtMyagdi / June 30: A conservationist was honoured in Myagdi on Wednesday in recognition of his contribution to the conservation of forest and environment.

The District Forest Office has honoured Chandra Bahadur Karki of Beni municipality-4 with cash prize of Rs 12,000 on the occasion of the beginning of Forest Festival and Sapling Plantation Campaign.

Chief District Officer Keshab Raj Acharya and District Forest Office Sukhalal Prasad Jayaswal felicitated Karki with cash prize, letter of appreciation and shawl.

Karki has been voluntarily involved in planting saplings, constructing public stands, monitoring and nurturing plants in the area.

Meanwhile, the District Forest Office and Soil Conservation Office have initiated saplings plantation campaign from Wednesday. RSS
