security mobilizationMahottari / October 21: Security personnel of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force have been deployed along the East West Highway and forest area in Mahottari in view of Hindu festivals like Dashain, Tihar and Chhath, police said.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Pandit said that the security personnel have been deployed, as part of integrated security plan, in the area covering Ratopul of Mahottari and Banke river bordering Sarlahi district, in order to curb increasing number of looting during festivals.

He said that formed into separate groups, security personnel are patrolling in different eight places of Mahottari.

He added that the work to escort vehicles including passenger ones during nights is going on. The security has been beefed up in different parts of the country taking into consideration the ongoing protest of tarai based political parties ahead of major festivals of the country. They have been creating obstacles ahead of the major festivals of Nepali people against national and international norms where even the warring countries announce cease-fire during the major festivals.

The tarai based parties have been organizing protest programs in tarai and creating obstacle for smooth supply of goods in different parts of the countries expressing dissatisfaction over the new constitution but they are yet to present their formal dissatisfaction. The parties have earlier announced resignation from the parliament and again took part in the election of the Prime Minister and again organizing protest in custom points. They did not express their dissatisfaction while they were in the parliament to vote for the Prime Minister. They have been showing dual character as many people believe that they were organizing all this at the tune of India. RSS
