Rs 4.5 million collected to purchase land for campus

myagdi_districtMyagdi / October 26: As high as Rs 4.55 million in donation has been collected for the development of physical infrastructures of Mangala Education Campus located at Babiyachaur-5 in Myagdi district.

The amount would be utilised to buy a land plot for the building construction of the campus established in 2066 BS. The academic institution was also deprived of the assistance to be dole out from the university grants commission due to lack of land in its own name.

Sat Prasad Roka, a member of the fund collection, said that Rs 4.55 million was collected so far while the donors and former students living at home and abroad have pledged Rs 8.1 million in donation.

It is said that target has been set to collect Rs 10 million. The college established in the rural area is providing higher education to mostly the women and students from the poor economic background at their doorstep. RSS
