Writ filed against government decision to give retirement to PADT member secretary Tandan

PADTKathmandu / October 28: A writ petition has been filed at Supreme Court against the government decision to grant retirement to Dr Govinda Tandon from the post of member secretary of the Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT).

The petition filed by Tek Bahadur Karki on Tuesday argued that Tandan’s retirement was against the law and established principles. Mr Karki has named the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Trust Member Secretary Saresh Nepal defendants.

The petition has demanded an interim order to stay the appointment of the new Member Secretary until the case was finalised.

The then PADT Member Secretary Tandan was retired on October 9 and Nepal was appointed to the post. RSS
