Stakeholders call to resume schools

SchoolMorang / October 31: Stakeholders and civil society members in Morang district have taken steps to run the academic institutions that have remained closed for long due to the ongoing agitations of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

Different social organisations have made such efforts saying that it was linked to children’s right to education. The agitating parties are urged to let the schools run unhindered.

The general shutdown for almost two and a half months now has severely paralyzed the regular classes of the students both in the private and community schools and is sure to affect the annual tests of the students.

Likewise, the representatives of different organisations have also decided hold interactions and resume the teaching and learning activities in the schools.

Representatives of UNICEF Field Office based in Biratnagar, Plan Nepal, World Vision International, INSEC Biratnagar, CIWIN Help Line, PABSON and other organisations attended the meeting for their efforts to resume the schools. RSS
