Network Arch Bridges to be constructed over Bagmati and Dhobikhola

Network Arch bridgeKathmandu / November 5: New bridges with new technology would be constructed over the Bagmati River on the Maitighar-Tinkune road section and over Dhobikhola at Bijuli Bazaar in the Capital.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Road Expansion Project, the Network Arch Bridge would be constructed at these points on the model Maitighar-Tinkune eight-lane road section. After the completion of the bridges, the previous four-lane bridges would be replaced, said Road Division, Bridge Section sources.

The total estimated cost of the bridge to be constructed at Dhobikhola would be over 130 million rupees. The bridge is expected to be completed by 2074 BS.

Similarly, such bridge over Bagmati River at Tinkune would be constructed at a total cost of over 210 million rupees. And the bridge is expected to be completed by 2075 BS. RSS
