KC announces candidacy for General Secreary
Kathmandu, March 1: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Arjun Narsingh KC has announced his candidacy to the post of party general secretary.
At a face to face program organized by the Reporters’ Club here on Tuesday, leader KC added that his candidacy was from party senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba panel to end the hegemony of a few leaders from the establishment side.
While announcing the candidacy, leader KC said that he stood from the Deuba panel as he did not get justice from the establishment side, although he had remained on the same side for 18 years. He added that this was his final decision. KC recently joined the Deuba panel after detaching from the establishment panel.
Similarly, leader Ramesh Lekhak announced his candidacy to the post of central working committee of the party. Rather than involving in the policy related issues, NC leaders have been involving on grabbing the leadership.
Senior leaders have been mulling to announce their panels for the general convention as there are many aspirants for the post. Senior Leader Sher Bahadur Debua, acting President Ram Chandra Poudel, inclubent General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula and leader Sujata Koirala have been claiming the post of Party President and mulling to attract representatives of general convention to their favor. All the four leaders are likely to announce their team tomorrow. RSS
