Minister KC positive towards call for establishing vegetable market in Chitwan

chitra bahadur kcChitwan / April 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Chitra Bahadur KC has given a positive gesture towards the call of establishing a systematic fruits and vegetable market in Bharatpur.

A delegation from the Fruits and Fresh Vegetables Retailers’ Association at Narayangadh Sunday called on the Cooperatives Minister and apprised him of their demand.

In response, he expressed his solidarity to the voices of vegetable retailers and pledged to take the matter before with the Council of Ministers. He was of the view of seeking accessible and better market for agro produces so that farmers could continue their occupation. Everyone involved in agro sector needs to be self-sufficient, he stressed.

Fruits and fresh vegetable retailers in Chitwan have demanded the establishment of a model vegetable market in two biga and 10 kattha of land owned by the Cooperative Development Board. RSS
