New committee to narrow bar bench distance

Sher Bahadur KC Nepal BarKathmandu / April 10: Newly elected chairman of Nepal Bar Association, an umbrella organization of lawyers, Sher Bahadur KC, has said the new committee would play an effective role to narrow the bar-bench distance.

Speaking in a programme organized by the Reporters’ Club here Sunday, Chairman KC expressed his commitment to ensure the rights and duties of legal practitioners.

He added that he would play a creative role for the immediate appointment of the judges in the courts for the prompt delivery of judicial service.

Similarly, Vice-Chairperson Usha Pathak said they would treat equally to all disregarding their election from the democratic panel.

Speaking in the same programme, General Secretary Khamba Bahadur Khati said the newly elected committee would help implement the new constitution.
