CIAA indicts DDC manager of illegally amassing properties

CIAAKathmandu / May 09: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Monday indicted Dr Shatrughna Prasad Saha of illegally amassing properties through abuse of authority while he served at the state-owned Dairy Development Corporation (DDC).

The anti-graft body filed a charge sheet at the Special Court, stating properties worth Rs 23.868 million that Dr Saha owned was disproportionate to his legal source of income.

During his job at the DDC, from a technical officer to manager, Saha’s total legal income was Rs 14.449 million, while the CIAA found out he owned properties worth Rs 38.365 million, according to the CIAA.

The CIAA has made Dr Saha and his wife Sushila Kumar Saha defendants in the case as the properties that he earned have been kept in the latter’s name also.
