US-based organisation donates Rs 5 m to rebuild quake-damaged school

US flagKathmandu / May 18: A financial company Capital Funding Group with its headquarters in Baltimore of the United States of America has donated Rs 5 million to a school in Nuwakot to reconstruct its building ravaged by the April 25, 2015 earthquake.

The bodies concerned have said that of the received amount, Rs 3.5 million will be spent in reconstructing the damaged building of Kabilash Secondary School at Kabilash VDC-2, while the remaining amount will be provided to a local primary health clinic.

The Group said that it was happy to help school affected by the quake in Nepal.

Company Chair Jack Dawyer has pledged that he would do his best in continuing such help in the days to come in providing access to education for Nepali people as education is the first step towards a success.

Pushpa Subedi, who works at the funding group, shared that the help was possible after she apprised the Group of the situation of the school after the disaster. RSS
