Action sought against schools allegedly overcharging students

Student FlagKathmandu / May 24: A meeting of the joint students’ association today demanded action against the schools allegedly overcharging students.

The meeting that took place at the central office of Nepal Students’ Union at Dhobidhara stated that during the monitoring conducted by students’ unions, schools (though not all) were found charging students against the Education Act.

The meeting agreed to draw the attention of the Education Minister towards this end, according to Nepal Students’ Union Spokesperson UP Lamichhane. The alliance has warned that it would hit the street if the government did not pay the attention to its demand.

The Association is an alliance of 22 students unions including Nepal Students’ Union, All Nepal National Free Students’ Union and All Nepal National Independent Students’ Union (Revolutionary). RSS
