NSU’s general convention likely by mid-July

Nepal Student UnionKathmandu, May 28: Nepal Students Union (NSU), the student wing of the Nepali Congress (NC), is likely to hold its 11th general convention by mid-July.

The NSU’s general convention has not been held for the past eight years due to various reasons.

NSU spokesperson UP Lamichhane said that preparations were underway to propose to hold the convention at the meeting of NSU’s central committee to be held at NC’s Central Office in Sanepa in the Capital on June 7.

The proposal will pick one place among Kathmandu, Pokhara, Nepalgunj and Chitwan as the venue for the convention.

Lamichhane said that the convention will be held after amending NSU’s statute in line with the new constitution. RSS
