NOC slashes prices of petroleum products
Kathmandu / Aug 02: One day before the election of the new Prime Minister, the Nepal Oil Corporation has decided to slash prices of petroleum products. The decision be effective from Tuesday midnight.
Revising the fuel prices today, the state-run fuel monopoly decided to sell petrol at Rs 97 per litre, and kerosene and diesel at Rs 73 per litre. The NOC reduced prices of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs 2 per litre.
Likewise, cooking gas (liquefied petroleum gas)’s price has been fixed at Rs 1,375 from Rs 1,400 per cylinder. NOC was facing criticism for not reducing the prices of petroleum products for last six months despite significant reduction in the oil prices in the international market.
