Fishtail Air helicopter crash: seven killed and dead bodies brought to Kathmandu
Kathmandu / Aug. 08: The dead bodies of seven people killed in Nuwakot helicopter crash have been brought to Kathmandu on Monday evening.
The dead bodies were brought to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) for post-mortem through a chopper of Fishtail Air.
Seven people including pilot were killed as a Fishtail Air chopper headed for Kathmandu from Gorkha crashed at Betini, Belkot VDC-8 of Nuwakot district today.
he helicopter had gone to airlifting a postpartum woman and her new baby for treatment in Kathmandu.
The 9N-AKA chopper had made last contact with air traffic control tower at 1:00pm. Another Fishtail helicopter that left from Kathmandu one-hour after the chopper went missing found the wreckage of the crashed helicopter and informed the TIA.
Captain Ranjan Limbu, Staff Nurse Nisha Tamang, one Laxmi Gurung, Kitman Gurung, of Siddhadhibas, Gorkha, his wife Aagyani, Priti Gurung, 19, and her five-day-old son, have been killed in the tragedy.
