37th National Education Day being observed today

President HouseKathmandu / Sept 8: The 37th National Education Day and International Literacy Day-2016 is being observed today across the country, including the capital city, by organizing various programmes.

The theme for this year’s celebration is’ Investment in useful education for the building of prosperous nation.’ The government has formed a Main Organizing Committee in the chairmanship of Minister for Education Dhaniram Poudel to mark the Day.

On this occasion, President Bidya Devi Bhandari will confer the ‘Nepal Bidhya Bhusan’ (A, B and C) and ‘Nepal Chattra Bidya Padak’ on various personalities nominated for these education awards, according to Saraswati Pokharel, Assistant Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education.

Similarly, on this occasion Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal is scheduled to honour the outstanding students from both the private and community schools. RSS
