Pay heed to archaeological heritages during reconstruction: President Bhandari

BidhyaKathmandu / Oct 25: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has suggested the concerned bodies to pay heed to the importance of historical and archaeological heritages while carrying out reconstructions of the earthquake damaged structures.

During a discussion on post-disaster reconstruction held at President’s Office, Shitalniwas, on Tuesday, President Bhandari said aspiration of local people should also be addressed during the reconstruction activities.

According to her, traditional and locally available resources could be used in the rebuilding, said a press release issued by the National Reconstruction Authority.

At the discussion, NRA Chief Executive Officer Sushil Gyawali briefed the President of the progress made so far on reconstructions, its obstructions, future plans and the challenges.

Other high level officials from various ministries and Executive Chief of Kathmandu Metropolis Rudra Singh Tamang attended the discussion. RSS
