Nepali Embassy interacts with tourism entrepreneurs in Beijing
Kathmandu / Dec 15: In a bid to further strengthen the cooperation between the Nepali Embassy and tourism entrepreneurs in Beijing, the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing organized an interaction programme with tourism related entrepreneurs at the embassy on Thursday.
The Nepali Embassy informed in a press statement that Nepali Ambassador to China, Leela Mani Paudyal, while addressing the gathering, explained in details of tourism products and tourism opportunities in Nepal. He highlighted three unique dimensions of tourism business- nature, adventure and culture.
Ambassador Paudyal further explained some unique features of Nepal like birth place of Shakyamuni Buddha, country of Mount Everest and other seven peaks out of 14 highest peaks above 8,000 metres of the world, ideal place for yoga and meditation, place of one horned rhinos and opportunities for elephant polo, white water rafting, bungee jumping, paragliding, mountaineering expedition and other adventures.
On the occasion, the Ambassador appealed the participants to encourage Chinese tourists to visit Nepal, saying that Nepal and China are very good friends having excellent relations since time immemorial and there is high respect of Nepali people to Chinese people. “As a token of friendship, Nepal has also exempted visa fee for Chinese tourists since the beginning of the year 2016”, he informed.
Twenty two representatives from different travel service providers and embassy officials were present in the programme. Two videos about Nepal’s attractive destinations (one in Chinese) were also presented during the programme. RSS
