FNCCI releases postage stamp
Kathmandu / Dec 19: Minister for Information and Communications Surendra Kumar Karki has made public a postage stamp featuring the logo of Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).
During a programme organized on the golden jubilee celebration of the FNCCI here on Monday, Minister Karki affixed the first cancellation mark on the postage stamp. The postage stamp costs Rs 10. The programme was organized by Department of Postal Services.
On the occasion, Minister Karki stressed the need of creating favourable atmosphere where the government and private sectors could work together.
The Minister argued that country was still poor due to weak management of state affairs. The transition must be negotiated in a practical manner, he added.
Similarly, Secretary at Ministry of Information and Communications, Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya, said government was always ready to work together with private sectors.
Director General at the Department, Suresh Adhikari, said the postage stamp was published in recognition to FNCCI’s contribution to country’s economy.
The postage stamp would be brought to market in 2017.
It is printed in a number of some 2 million. The five coloured stamp is printed in Indonesia. Purna Kamal Limbu is its designer. RSS
