PAC seeks information from Ministry on purchase of wide body airplane

NACKathmandu / March 5: The Public Account Committee (PAC) of the Legislature-Parliament has issued directive to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to submit information on the purchase of wide body airplanes by the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) to the Committee within five days.

The meeting of the Committee held here Sunday took the decision to this effect following the controversy sparked on irregularities on the purchase of the new airplanes.

Similarly, the NAC has been asked to submit its report including its action-plan, human resources management following the purchase of the new airplanes and financial planning among others within a month, shared PAC President Dor Prasad Upadhyay.

President Upadyay also informed that the concerned body has been asked to submit written information about the airplanes purchased from China and the agreements made between Nepal and China concerning it. RSS
