Thulo Sirubari folks purchase ambulance through donation

Sindhupalchowk,June 5/ People from Thulo Sirubari of Sangachowkgadhi Municipality-13 in Sindhupalchowk have purchased an ambulance through donations they collected through the use of social network site ‘Facebook’.

The locals of Thulo Sirubari that lies in a distance of 19 kilometers from the district headquarter had been deprived of timely treatment in need due to lack of ambulance service at the local level.

Each household of Thulo Sirubari Village Development had provided Rs 500 two years ago to purchase an ambulance. At that time, Rs 600,000 was collected.

In the recent fundraising campaign launched through the social network site, Rs 750,000 was raised and the locals received Rs 200,000 from the Municipality in grants to buy the vehicle, according to ward chair Ram Prasad Gautam.(RSS)
