Only classroom-based activities won’t produce skilled HR, says PM

Oli after nominationBiratnagar / Oct 6: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said skilled human resources cannot be produced in the country only through classroom teaching activities.

Addressing the 29th senate of the Purbanchal University here today, the Prime Minister Oli said that only formal education given in the school would not meet the country’s needs and stressed for the practical and behavioural education. “Now only classroom teaching is not sufficient. The students should be given education by taking them in the villages and farms”, he said.

The Prime Minister was of the view that science and technology should be utilized to move ahead adding that this would result better even with limited human resources.

Saying that the all school-going-age children would be brought to the schools from the mega campaign against illiteracy launched from this year, the PM claimed that no children would be out of school from the next academic year.

The university must be specialized and in some of the places more than needed colleges have obtained university affiliation for lack of mutual coordination, the PM cautioned.

The senate has approved the budget of the fiscal year 2075/076 BS for the University and passed the audit report of the fiscal years 2071/072 BS and 2072/073 BS.

Likewise, the senate has given right to the University to appoint the auditor for the auditing of the fiscal year 2073/074 BS and 2074/075 BS. RSS
