Jangam bags Narayan Gopal Youth Music Award

narayan gKathmandu / Jan 1: The ‘Narayan Gopal Youth Music Award’ this year is to be conferred on youth singer and music composer Ajar Jangam.

The meeting of the Award Selection Committee chaired by its President and senior lyricist Bishwa Ballav has decided to award Jangam with this Award, according to the National Youth Service Fund, Bhim Bahadur Adhikari.

The Award carries a purse of Rs 40,000, a gold medal and certificate.

Likewise, artiste Samundra Man Shrestha and Sundar Lama are to be jointly awarded with the ‘Arniko Youth Art Award’ for this year.

The Award carries a purse of Rs 50,000, a gold medal and certificate.

Established in 1991, the Narayan Gopal Youth Music Award is conferred on those artistes not exceeding above 40 years. The award recognizes the contribution of the artistes in music and singing field.

Similarly, ‘Arniko Youth Art Award’ was established in 2057 BS to acknowledge and promote work of arts in honour of national luminary Araniko. RSS
