Ambassadors to Australia and Spain take oath

Kathmandu / Oct 15: Newly appointed ambassadors of Nepal Mahesh Raj Dahal and Dawa Futi Sherpa to Australia and Spain respectively took an oath of office and secrecy in presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari here today.

The oath-taking ceremony was held at a special function at the Presidential Office, Sheetal Niwas.

Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Chief of the Army Staff Purna Chandra Thapa, among others were present on the occasion.

Earlier, President Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers and under Article 282 of the Constitution, appointed Sherpa as the Ambassador to Spain and Dahal as the Ambassador to Australia.RSS
