BOP established at Nechung, Mustang

Mustang / May 29: The Armed Police Force (APF) has established Border Outpost (BOP) at Nechung of Lomathang rural municipality-1 in Mustang district.

Gandaki state assembly member Indradhara Bista and Additional Inspector General of APF, Narayan Babu Thapa, jointly inaugurated the BOP on Thursday.

A team comprising 20 security personnel of APF under the leadership of APF Police Inspector would be deployed at the BOP.

Necessary budget has already been allocated to construct BOP’s own building stretching over the premises of 33 ropanis of land.

On the occasion, member of the House of Representatives, Pramod Prasad Tulachan said law and order situation would be improved after the operation of Korala check point.

Saying arrangement of 1,000 ropanis of land has been made to construct the custom and quarantine points near no man’s land in Korala check point, he added custom office would be constructed within this fiscal year.

Similarly, Chief District Officer of Mustang, Bed Prasad Aryal expressed the belief that it would help maintain border security and control possible smuggling and manage natural disasters with the establishment of BOP.

Stating that BOP has been set up at Korala check point for border security of the country, AIG Thapa shared the BOP setup would help for improving law and order in the area and prevent crimes. RSS
