Govt gives green signal to private schools to collect fees for online classes

Kathmandu / Sep 10: The government has given a green signal to private schools to collect fees for online classes run at the time of global pandemic.

Issuing a directive, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, has allowed private schools to collect fees as per the amount set by the local governments.

According to the directive, private schools are allowed to collect fees for online classes run after Ashar 1 (June 15).

After requests from private schools, the government has paved the way for them to collect monthly fees for online classes. According to the directive, the local governments concerned need to permit schools to collect monthly fees for online classes.

After the government imposed a nationwide lockdown on March 24, physical classes have been on a halt. As a result, private schools have been conducting online classes for their students.
