26 thousand taps installed in four yrs in Gorkha and Lamjung

Narendra Dhakal / Gorkha, Jan 1: Over 26 thousand drinking water taps have been installed in the last four years in Gorkha and Lamjung districts.

With the initiation of the one household one tap programme, 26,088 households have had piped water installed in the two districts of Gandaki province.

The drinking water and sanitation division office under the provincial ministry of energy, water resources and drinking water has been working in Gorkha and Lamjung.

Kiran Paudel, chief of the division office, said that taps have been installed in over 7 thousand households this fiscal year alone while in 2018, 2800 taps were installed, 9042 taps in 2019 and 2900 in 2020.
