President Paudel for enabling atmosphere to return migrant Nepalis

Kathmandu / April 12: President Ramchandra Paudel has viewed it is imperative to leverage the pulling factors that create an atmosphere conducive to return migrant Nepalis in the wake of the exodus of youths.

During his meeting with a delegation from the Association of Nepali Origin (ANO) at his office, Shital Niwas, on Friday, the Head of the State insisted on enabling a situation capable of bringing back the Nepali migrants, according to ANO general secretary Chudamani Bhattarai.

The President wanted all the stakeholders concerned and the people of the country to focus to this end so that skills and knowledge could be utilized within country.

He also commended the efforts of ANO to unite the Nepali-origin and Nepali-speaking people across the globe, underlining the need to develop Chudi Ramgha of Tanahu, the birthplace of Adikavi- pioneering poet of Nepali literature- Bhanu Bhakta Acharya, into a hub for Nepali literature, and a holy place of Nepali speaking populace.

On the occasion, ANO Chair Dilli Adhikari expressed solidarity with the opinion of the President and pledged to contribute from their sides to the President’s views and suggestions.

Association senior vice chair advocate Sushil Kumar Pant, founding members KB Karki, Om Gurung, and Dr Damodar Paudel were also present.

The ANO was formed by a gathering of Nepali origin community held in Bangkok in Thailand on March 19 this year. It is said it aims to make efforts to unite Nepalis globally and preserve the Nepali language and culture.

It comprises social activists of Nepali origin scattered in 27 countries. The gathering had formed a 54-member executive committee of Adhikari who was born in Bhutan and is currently residing in the United States. RSS
