Air Dynasty Helicopter crashes in Nuwakot; Govt forms three-member probe panel

Kathmandu / August 7: A helicopter of Air Dynasty crashed at the Suryachaur of Shivapuri Rural Municipality – 7, Nuwakot on Wednesday.

Nuwakot DSP Tilak Bharati said that the Helicopter was found burnt.

According to him in the helicopter, five people were on board along with the pilot.

Captain Arun Malla was the helicopter’s pilot. The Chopper was heading towards Syafrubesi of Rasuwa from Kathmandu.

Chief District Officer of Nuwakot Ram Krishna Adhikari said that the burnt bodies of four males and a female have been recovered.

The identities of passengers who boarded on crashed Air Dynasty helicopter are ascertained.

There were 5 passengers on board along with the pilot.

According to According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) deceased were Captain Arun Malla, Nepali citizen, Tang Jutao (PP No. ED1857162, Chinese), Wu Yiyao (PP No. EK4497014, Chinese), Li Jie (PP No. EC7310843, Chinese) and Xie Zeming (PP No. EK1374217).

Govt forms three-member probe panel to investigate Air Dynasty chopper crash

The government has formed a three-member committee to investigate the crash of an Air Dynasty chopper in Shivapuri Rural Municipality-7, Nuwakot, which killed all five people on board.

According to the Government spokesperson Prithvi Subba Gurung, an emergency cabinet meeting held on Wednesday afternoon decided to form the committee under the leadership of Nepal Army’s Senior Pilot Subash Thapa to investigate the Air Dynasty helicopter accident.

One Nepali and four Chinese citizens were killed when the Air Dynasty helicopter bearing the callsign 9N-AJD flying from Kathmandu to Syafrubesi in Rasuwa crashed on Wednesday afternoon.

According to government spokesperson Gurung, the committee has been given 30 days to investigate the helicopter accident and submit a report.
