Country advancing towards to development, prosperity and good governance: PM Oli; KMC imposes Rs 100,000 fine on UML for rally pollution
Kathmandu / Nov 22: Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli claimed that the government is firmly progressing towards its commitment to development, prosperity, and good governance despite various conspiracies and challenges.
Addressing the awareness assembly organized by the three district committees of the UML at Durbar Marg on Friday, Prime Minister Oli emphasized that the current coalition will remain in place until the upcoming elections. He stressed the need to maintain communal harmony and work towards economic prosperity, standing against anarchy and instability.
He stated that any form of fraud, smuggling, corruption, character assassination, and obscenity is unacceptable. He further mentioned that the cooperation between the UML and the Nepali Congress is aimed at lifting the country from its decline.
KMC imposes Rs 100,000 fine on UML for rally pollution
The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on the ruling CPN-UML for polluting the environment during an awareness rally organized at Durbar Marg in Kathmandu on Friday.
The metropolis penalized UML under the Solid Waste Management Act, 2068, and the Kathmandu Metropolitan City Finance Act, 2081, citing garbage left at the rally venue.
A statement issued by the metropolis mentions that the fine was issued for violating environmental regulations.
