RSP Wins 74 of 92 Seats Announced So Far; Vote Counting Continues; RSP continues to lead PR tally

Kathmandu / March 7: Vote counting for the House of Representatives election in Nepal is ongoing, with results for 92 constituencies announced so far.
According to the latest results, the Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured a sweeping lead, winning 74 seats and currently leading in an additional 48 constituencies.
The Nepali Congress stands in second place, having won 10 seats and maintaining a lead in 9 others.
The Communist Party of Nepal (UML) is in third position with victories in 3 constituencies and leads in 8 more.
The Communist Party of Nepal holds fourth place, winning 3 seats and leading in 4 constituencies.
Meanwhile, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has won one seat but has not secured a lead in any other constituency.
One independent candidate has also been elected, while the Shram Sanskriti Party is currently leading in three constituencies.
Vote counting is continuing across the country, and the final results are expected in the coming days.
RSP continues to lead PR tally
Based on the ongoing proportional representation (PR) vote count nationwide, the Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading with 354,047 votes. The Congress has received 110,204 votes, followed by UML with 88,982 votes and the Nepali Communist Party with 41,853 votes.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party has secured 27,558 votes, the Shram Sanskriti Party 13,112 votes, and the Rastriya Pariwartan Party (Ujyalo Nepal Party) 8,936 votes. The figures reflect entries from polling centres across the country and remain preliminary.
