Don’t scan official documents using mobile phones, says PMO

Kathmandu / July 1: The Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has issued a circular today, instructing all three levels of government authorities not to scan official government documents using mobile apps.

The circular issued by Bodhraj Baral, a computer engineer at the Office, states that it is the responsibility of every office and employee to ensure the confidentiality and secure archiving of government documents.

Using mobile scanning apps may adversely affect the confidentiality of sensitive and confidential government documents, adds the Office. RSS
