NC President Thapa and Senior Leader Dr. Koirala Hold Meeting, Fail to Reach Agreement on Disputes

Kathmandu / Aug. 11: Nepali Congress President Gagan Thapa and party leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala held a meeting on Tuesday morning to discuss the internal disputes within the party.
The meeting, held at Dr. Koirala’s liaison office in Bishalnagar, Kathmandu, focused primarily on ways to resolve the ongoing internal disagreements in the Nepali Congress.
According to Dinesh Chandra Thapaliya, Dr. Koirala’s personal secretary, the meeting began at 9:45 am and continued until 10:15 am.
The two leaders discussed how to address the organizational and policy-related disputes that have emerged within the party in recent times. However, they failed to reach an agreement. Thapaliya said both sides presented their respective positions, but no consensus was reached.
The meeting took place amid ongoing legal and political debates within the Nepali Congress over the party’s legitimacy and leadership.
The talks were also seen as an effort to maintain party unity and find a way forward through dialogue. However, the two leaders were unable to reach any concrete conclusion.
