Indian drug company provides Rs 5.3 million for quake survivors
Kathmandu / November 20: An Indian drug manufacturing company today handed over a cheque for around Rs 5.3 million to the Prime Minister Relief Fund in aid of the April 25 earthquakes survivors.
Indian drug maker Sonafi handed over the cheque to PM Oli amid a programme at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar in Kathmandu, which a source said, will be deposited in the Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund.
In response, PM Oli thanked and praised the company for assisting the quake survivors by providing relief amounts.
He said that the relief amounts are valuable at a time when the country is reeling under crisis of essentials and fuel due to the ‘unofficial blockade’ by India.
Earlier, Sonafi had provided medicines worth around Rs 75 million for the quake survivors, apart from other types of assistance. RSS
