President to visit Ramgram

Nawalparasi / May 20: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari is scheduled to arrive in Ramgram via Lumbini on Friday.

Nawalparasi Chief District Officer Mahadev Pantha shared it was verbally informed that President Bhandari will come to visit historical Ramgram Stupa of Nawalparasi this afternoon after she visited Lumbini and Tilaurakot,

Security arrangement has been put in place accordingly, said CDO Pantha, adding, “We have not yet received written letter about her visit. But verbally it is set that the President will visit Ramgram Stupa which contains one of the relics of Gautam Buddha this afternoon”.

It was already set that President Bhandari would inaugurate the 2560th Buddha Jayanti Main Celebration Functions to be held in Lumbini on Saturday

The conclusions of the International Seminar on Buddhism underway in Kathmandu would be released as the Lumbini Declaration amidst the distinguished gathering in Lumbini on the occasion, shared member-secretary of Lumbini Development Trust Ajit Man Tamang. RSS
