Constitution, Nepal’s big achievement- Ex-President Yadav
Bardibas / May 26: Former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has said the new constitution is a big achievement of the Federal Democratic Republic Nepal.
Dr Yadav said this inaugurating a dayloing workshop ‘Chure region conservation and preservation’ organized by City Journalists Network Bardibas and Bardibas municipality at Bardibas of Mahottari on Wednesday.
He also noted the need to address the demands of Madhes to widen the acceptability of the constitution.
As the country has ushered into the pathway to economic prosperity the national responsibility can be fulfilled through collective efforts of entire Nepali denizens, the ex-President said.
He suggested the government and political parties to come up with eagerness to bring the dissident parties demanding incorporation of their agendas on constitution to the mainstream politics.
“The Madhes-based political parties have been putting their stance that their issues are to be addressed through the constitution”, he said, adding, “Prolonging such situation will not augur well to the national unity of the country”.
The persisting political problem will be resolved when the Madhes-based parties raise their further issues accepting the new constitution as a historical achievement and the government and major political parties respond the Madhesi demands in a flexible manner, Dr Yadav asserted.
Dr Yadav called for shared efforts from all sides for the preservation and conservation of Chure region which he said is the common concern of Nepali belonging to hilly and Mahdesi regions.
On the occasion, Chure wetland edpert Dr Bijaya Kumar Singh and manager at Sagarnath Forest Development Project Gyanendra Mishra had presented working papers on the impacts of Chure region on the forest, wetland and entire human being of the area. RSS
