DDC found cheating consumers
Kathmandu / July 25: Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology has found the state-run Dairy Development Committee (DDC) cheating consumers in the quantity of its milk produce.
The Kathmandu-based regional office of the Bureau during its monitoring found DDC selling 110 ml less in a packet of half litre milk.
The sub-standard was found in milk quantity when the Department of Commerce and Supply Management wrote to Bureau to get its regional office Balaju active in monitoring of measurement standards in the Valley.
Regional Office In-charge Shahi Bhushan Yadav shared that a letter was sent to DDC for action after finding such anomaly in the quantity of milk in half litre. RSS
