Unhygienic meat destroyed, illegal pharmacies sealed

Lalitpur / Aug 22: The Variety Cold Store at Nakkhu owned by Madan Sahi was found storing 78 Kg of unhygienic meat.

A joint monitoring team comprising representatives from Department of Supply Management, Consumers’ Welfare Protection Department and Metropolitan Police Sector found such huge amount of unhygienic meat.

Monitoring team member Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ishwor Karki, informed that the monitoring team destroyed the meant and banned the sales of meat from the Cold Store.

The team also sealed two nozzles of Sajha Petrol Pump at Pulchowk, reasoning that they emitted oil irregularly.

Similarly, the pharmacies run illegally at Lagankhel were sealed by the monitoring team. Meanwhile, in Kathmandu, a monitoring team mobilized by the Ministry of Supplies sealed the Glacier Mineral Water company located at Jitpurphedi for not purifying water and keeping internal atmosphere unhygienic.

The team also sealed the Natural Pure Drinking Water and Aqua Nagarjun Fresh Mineral Water companies.

Similarly, 21 public vehicles were recommended for action as they did not inform passengers of transport fare on notice.

Some stores found running without registration along the Kalanki-Gurjudhara section were directed for immediate registration. RSS
