Woman swindles Rs 45 million

Face-moneyParbat / Aug 23: A woman hailing from Parbat district headquarters, Kusma, went at large after swindling cash Rs 40 million and over 60 tola of gold jewelleries.

Kunwar collected cash and jewelleries from local women of Milanchowk, Butwal in various pretexts and remained out of sight since August 6, said victims.

Kunwar has been out of contact since she supposedly moved to the airport to see off her husband who was leaving for overseas employment, shared Prema Shrestha, a victim.

“She begged money stating her mother was struggling with blood cancer. We did not think otherwise when she asked money to take her mother to Delhi for further treatment”, said Shrestha who is searching for Kunwar.

“We were left with betray for lending trust to her. She had ill-motive to swindle which we came to know now”, Shrestha added.

Kunwar has been residing in Milanchowk, Butwal for the past four years and has won the confidence of most of the women in the area.

She had taken money up to Rs 5 million from a local, said the victim. The victims had also lodged complaint at the Crime Investigation Division Hanumandhoka, Shrestha informed. RSS
