PM Dahal assures of easy availability of essentials during Dashain, Tihar festivals

PrachandaKathmandu / Aug 27: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday expressed his commitment to making essentials easily available during the Hindu festivals, Dashain and Tihar.

The market witnesses a shortage of essentials usually and passengers leaving Kathmandu for their homes often face transport problems during the festivals for want of prior due arrangements and regular monitoring.

Talking with general people in the programme ‘Direct Conversation with Prime Minister’ aired by Government-owned Nepal Television this evening, he said, “Transportation problems will not take place in this year’s festivals.”

The Prime Minister said serious discussions were being held as to how information and communications could be linked and utilised so that the general public would get to directly experience it.

PM Dahal reaffirmed the government’s efforts towards minimizing the road accidents in various parts of the country.

Touching on his upcoming visit to India, PM Dahal clarified that his visit will be focused on enabling an environment whereby both of our immediate neighbors -India and China- will poise themselves as Nepal’s supporters.

Dahal added that he had been effortful towards addressing the issues of Nepalese in foreign land from the day he assumed the office. He further shared that reforms at policy level were being considered for the same.

Responding to the query regarding concept of inclusiveness in the domestic polity, the PM said that it was adopted and exercised to bring the backward communities to the mainstream. RSS
