Under secy Birendra KC’s vehicle vandalised

Dhangadhi / Sept 30: An unknown motorcycle-borne group threw stones at the vehicle of under secretary at the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law in Sudurpaschim province Birendra KC on Sunday.

KC was traveling to Dhangadi from Dhangadi Airport when the group threw stones at his vehicle (Ba 1 Jha 9703) near Boradi. The rear windshield window suffered damages in the incident.

A general strike has been called in Dhangadi for the past two days in protest of declaring Godawari in Kailali district as capital of Sudurpaschim province. Kailali police chief SP Binod Ghimire said the banda enforcers had pelted stones at KC’s vehicle.

KC is also the member of the probe committee investigating the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta of Kanchanpur district. He had resigned from the committee citing threat to his life but returned two days later.
