Demonstration against State Affairs Committee’s decision of canceling PSC’s vacancy

Kathmandu / June 11: Public Service Preparation Ad hoc Struggle Committee has launched the agitation and pressure-oriented program here from 10:00 am today.

It demonstrated against the unacceptable decision of State Affairs and Good-Governance Committee under the House of Representatives.

The State Affairs Committee on Monday had directed to cancel the vacancy announced by the Public Service Commission for different posts and asked to appoint employees on a contract basis. The examinees, who have been making preparation for public service exam, demonstrated for two hours from 10:00 am by chanting different slogans from Maitighar Mandala to New Baneshwor.

Laxman Adhikari of Bardiya, who has been making preparation for Nayab Subba post, said that they were compelled to launch agitation as the decision of canceling the vacancy announced by PSC has shrunk the rights to enter in government service.

The government on May 29 had announced vacancy for 9,161 posts in 515 local levels through PSC. Tens of thousands of people are in preparation for a public service exam. RSS
