Government’s talks with Madhesi Front positive
Kathmandu / October 25: The talks between the government team and the agitating United Democratic Madhesi Front has ended with positive note on Sunday.
Members from both talks teams said the government and agitating Front put forth their stands in the meeting and it was positive step.
Member of the government talks team Agni Kharel said they have however decided to make enough preparation and hold the next meeting on October 29, so that they could reach a conclusion.
The agitating Madhesi Front reiterated its demand of redrawing the boundary of the present proposed provinces, so the talks did not conclude today, but it was positive, he added.
Also the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, talks team member Kharel further said the government, in line with the constitution, has proposed a commission to resolve the problems pertaining to the province. He stressed that the government was ready to hold intense discussion on it and finalize the disputes.
Similarly, Hridayesh Tripathi said the talk was held in a very amicable atmosphere, and positive indeed. The front and the government would come up with clear stands in the next meeting, he added. RSS
