Will play a role to protect new constitution: President Bhandari

BidhyaKathmandu / November 2: President Bidya Devi Bhandari was given a farewell by the Youth Association Nepal (YAN) amidst a ceremony held in the capital city on Monday.

The Association’s former in charge and a delegation of incumbent officials met President Bhandari at the Shital Niwas wishing her a successful term.

CPN (UML) Politburo member Bhanubhakta Dhakal, central member Sherdhan Rai, YAN incumbent Chairman Rajeev Pahari and former chair Niru Pal among others met with the President.

On the occasion, President Bhandari said she would uphold the dignity of the post of President and play a role in protecting the constitution and work in the interest of the people, said YAN Spokesperson Prabhat Bikram Katuwal.

Meanwhile, Pesident Bhandari has appointed Mr Bhesh Raj Adhikari of Topagachhi-4, Jhapa as her personal assistant.

The President has appointed Adhikari as Personal Assistant of the Gazetted Special Class rank, stated a press release issued today by Hari Prasad Dawadi, Under-Secretary at the Office of the President.RSS
