Country’s development from technology development: NPC Vice Chair

Yuvaraj KhatiwadaLalitpur / November 9: Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Dr Yubraj Khatiwada, has said that the country’s development would get momentum only after the development of technology.

Addressing a programme organised by the Nepal Academy of Science and Technology on Monday to mark the World Science Day-2015, Vice-Chair Khatiwada stressed the need for giving priority to science and technology for the development of the country.

He expressed the confident that the development of technology would only bring changes in people’s lifestyle and added that technology development task could be forwarded on the basis of NAST research as every researches are very significant.

Similarly, NAST Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Jibraj Pokharel said that science and technology was the backbone of the country’s development and added that developed countries made this possible only from the means of technology.

NAST Academician Dr Dineshraj Bhuju and Prof Guru Upadhyay said that although the science and technology was an expensive business, path of economic prosperity could be opened up with the development of country with the help of this. RSS
