Bhaktapur / November 11: Culture expert and Nepal Bhasha Academy Chancellor Satya Mohan Joshi released a book ‘Newa: Bhyabba’ in Nepal bhasha here on Tuesday.

The book by Rajendra Shrestha is published by Madhyapurthimi Sahakari Sahayog Samaj and given details on the traditions of the Shrestha community of Madhyapurthimi. It shed lights on the culture from birth to death, and also details the various types of delicacies.

On the occasion, culture expert Joshi said the delicacies, culture, musical instruments and songs of the Newar community could be enlisted in the world heritage list.

At the programme, Jujubhai Shrestha, who has pierced his tongue for seven times in the festival of Thimi Bode, Thimi culture expert Srigopal Prajapati and other personalities were felicitated. RSS
