DPM Thapa hopeful to resolve the current blockade

Kamal ThapaKathmandu / December 3: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa has expressed his confidence that the situation prevailing in the country will get better soon.

Speaking with the journalists at the Tribhuwan International Airport upon his arrival from a three-day visit to the Indian capital, New Delhi, DPM Thapa believed that his visit was successful in sorting out the misunderstanding between Nepal and India.

Informing about his meeting with India’s Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, other Indian leaders and officials and about the bilateral talks held with them, Minister Thapa said, “With this visit, I believe the relationship between two countries will be further strengthened and the signs of improvements to the current situation will surface in few days.”

During the meeting with his Indian counterpart and leaders and officials, Thapa candidly discussed on measures to resolve the current political crisis back home, hardships facing Nepalis due to the disruption in freight and import in the border area, it was shared.

“The visit has been very cordial and fruitful. I believe the situation in the country will improve soon,” said Minister Thapa, requesting public patience in this connection.

He also appealed with the public not go by speculations and rumors related to the tensions in home.

Thapa said that he was effortful towards resolving the issues safeguarding the country’s sovereignty as the country was passing through critical times. RSS
