NC leader Poudel stresses on investment in agriculture, energy and tourism

ram chandra poudelBaglung / December 7: Nepali Congress vice-president Ram Chandra Poudel has said the country’s economy was flagging due to the ongoing protest movement in the Tarai and the border blockade.

Poudel said this while inaugurating the 16th general convention of the Chamber of Commerce, Baglung.

On the occasion, he urged the civil society leaders to take the initiatives for opening the border blockade.

“The Madhes-centric parties are waging an agitation flippantly protesting the constitution. I urge them to go through the constitution and realize the rights it provides to different communities,” he said and stressed the need of amending the constitution as per the amendment bill presented in the parliament by the erstwhile government under the NC’s leadership to address the genuine grievances.

Leader Poudel urged the businessmen and entrepreneurs to invest in the agriculture, energy and tourism sectors.

The general convention will elect a new working committee of the Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry. RSS
