NRN to construct 1000 houses in quake-hit districts

NRNA-image-300x225Kathmandu / December 8: Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) Chairperson Shesh Ghale held consultation with the acting Chief District Officer and other government officials of Sindhupalchowk – one of the quake worst-hit districts – regarding post-quake reconstruction plan.

The NRNA which is making preparation to construct 1,000 houses in quake-torn districts called on the senior government officials of Sindhupalchowk with the plan to select sites for houses construction.

The NRNA team held a joint discussion with Sindhupalchowk acting Chief District Officer, Local Development Officer and representatives of Department of Urban Development.

On the occasion, NRNA Chairperson Ghale shared that an agreement was signed with the Department of Urban Development and Housing to complete the construction of 1,000 houses within coming two years and enquired with the government officials where and how NRNA could put its post-quake interventions in Sindhupalchowk district.

Acting Chief District Officer Bharat Prasad Acharya urged the NRNA to reach out its efforts to the far-flung areas of the district to the possible extent.

The NRNA has floated a plan to construct 1,000 houses in quake-hit districts at the total cost of Rs 350 million. RSS
