Investment in research pays, says Dahal
Lalitpur / December 19: Chairman of the UCPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said the investment in research pays well for nation’s development.
At a programme on NARC’s current status and future course organized by Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) here Saturday, Chairman Dahal said once the achievements made through research are utilized, it would help a lot on country’s development.
According to him, research produces experts and the investment made as per their recommendation would accelerate developmental activities. Nepal also needs to learn from international practices of development, he stressed.
Although there were many challenges facing country’s agriculture, its potentials could not be ignored. On a different note, he said Nepal’s constitution was one of the most acclaimed in the world, as it has ensured everyone’s rights.
On the occasion, Minister for Agriculture, Haribol Gajurel, pledged assistance from government side to accelerate agricultural developments.
He also lauded the research made by the NARC, saying it would help make country self-reliant in terms of agricultural produce. RSS
